UCLA Health
West Valley Medical Center Flooring Renovation
About The Project
UCLA Health selected LA Design Builders to modernize approximately 8,000 square feet of clinical space at West Valley Medical Center, including waiting areas, corridors, exam rooms, offices, and restrooms.
Working in partnership with UCLA Health and commercial flooring manufacturer Forbo, our team managed the renovation from demolition and material coordination through subfloor preparation and final installation.
A critical component of the project was preparing the existing substrate for the new commercial flooring system. Following demolition, the floor underwent extensive grinding, patching, leveling, moisture evaluation, and surface preparation to ensure proper adhesion and long-term performance in a high-use healthcare environment.
With just four weeks from demolition to completion, LA Design Builders carefully coordinated labor, deliveries, and installation sequencing to meet the accelerated schedule. The renovation was completed on time and within budget, delivering a clean, durable, and modern clinical environment.
